Our School

Recognizing the need for Christian education and childcare in the Boca Raton area, Advent established a kindergarten program in 1968.  Today our 14-acre campus includes the Early Childhood School, Elementary & Middle School, Advent Life Enrichment Center, ADVENTure Club after school program and Camp ADVENTure (offered during the summer and school breaks).

What can you expect from a Christian education at Advent?

 Academic Excellence:

  • On completion of our VPK program, Advent Early Childhood School scored in the 95th percentile for student readiness for Kindergarten.
  • Advent Elementary and Middle School students have tested well above grade level on the SAT. (learn more)
  • Advent’s graduates are well prepared to take Honors and Advanced Placement courses at the high school level.
  • Our emphasis on math excellence has our students well prepared for acceptance into area STEM programs, Bio-technology academies, advanced placement and Honors courses

A Family Atmosphere:

  • Our staff is a caring and committed group of people who strive to develop the individual child as a member of their own families, a member of the Advent family, a member of the family of Christ, and a member of society at large.
  • Our staff is committed to a team approach to education; parents are encouraged to be active participants on an on-going basis.  Communication is valued and events are planned with parent participation in mind.
  • Our Faith for Life initiative emphasizes the faith of the child, and the family through a variety of activities, and opportunities including chapels, social concern projects, Grandparents’ Day, student performances, Spirit Week activities, PTO events, and more. With the support of our Pastors, church staff, and congregation, our goal is to have our graduates leave their mark on the world by sharing the love of Christ.

Spiritual Development:

  • Our goal is to prepare our students to become Christian leaders that have the confidence and ability to change the world.
  • Weekly chapels, which are led by our pastors, staff and students, provide a time of worship, praise, prayer, and growth.
  • All classes are taught from a Biblical perspective, emphasizing God's truth as it applies to every aspect of a student's life.
  • Our Christian Character Program emphasizes traits pleasing to God and to each other. The following nine traits are felt to be fundamental in building caring individuals with positive relationships: thankfulness, trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, citizenship, joy, and hopefulness. Opportunities to apply Christian principles to life situations are purposefully and prayerfully planned throughout the year.

Competitive Athletics:

  • Athletics are considered an opportunity to practice Christian principles while using one’s physical gifts.
  • Advent has numerous state, regional and district titles. Most recently, Girls Softball became Conference Champions, our Girls Basketball team placed third and our Boys Basketball team placed sixth in the State Tournament.
  • Our coaching staff is committed to excellence on the field/court and demand excellence from their athletes as students, teammates, and Christian competitors. Winning is important – but not as important as HOW they win.  An emphasis is placed on winning with humility, losing with grace, and competing with intensity and character.
  • Believing competitive athletics to be an end result of Healthy Habits, we purposely teach lessons about and raise awareness of the impact nutrition and overall fitness has on one’s performance – on and off the field.
