Taking Education to a Higher Level

Advent School Vision

The vision of Advent School is a confident Christian ready for the next adventure. We want our students to do more than succeed in the world. We want them prepared to make a mark on it to God’s glory.

Specifically, Advent School:
  • Provides a Christ-centered environment where all children are lovingly nurtured by a highly qualified and capable faculty and staff.
  • Provides education programs, both curricular and extra-curricular, which allow student to explore and develop individual talents and potential abilities.
  • Maintains safe, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, designed to enhance student learning.
  • Is committed to producing well-rounded individuals who are equipped to handle all aspects of life – spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally – with a strong emphasis placed on love and service to God and others.

Advent School Mission

The mission of Advent School is to inspire the minds, guide the hearts, strengthen the bodies, and nurture the souls (Luke 2:52) of God’s children in partnership with their families and the church. To encourage each student to follow God and to share the love of Christ with the world. (Romans 12:1-2)

Advent School Philosophy

Advent takes education to a higher level. We do not simply teach by words, we instruct by example. We do not have classes, we have learning communities growing in wisdom and grace. Our curriculum is not just for the mind and body, it is for the heart and soul. Our students learn the facts and the values they will need to succeed. Our students do not only pass test, they are prepared for the test of life. Our students do not graduate, they are sent to love and bless the world.

Teachers

Our teachers are passionate about kids and Christ. All teachers have current Florida State Certification and maintain teaching excellence through in-service training, workshops and continuing education courses.

Accreditation

Advent School is accredited through the Florida-Georgia District and the National Lutheran School Accreditation Agency (NLSA). Advent has been an accredited school in good standing for over 35 years.

Curriculum

Advent School meet or exceeds Florida standards for in all subject areas. Annual standardized testing is administered each spring. It covers all academic areas. The test is a nationally normed test. Our students consistently score above grade level. Advent School doe not participate in any other testing.

Reporting to Parents

We believe in letter grades for the report cards, so you and your child know exactly where they are in their academic level. Parents will receive quarterly  Mid-Term reports and Report Cards are issued at the end of each quarter. Parents have 24 hour access to Renweb, our online program that shows Homework, Grades, School Calendar and much more.
